Harley Davidson Battery Tender Yellow Light
So I plugged it in and went in the house.
Harley davidson battery tender yellow light. Thats when the light at the tender started flashing red-green as well. Unplug the Battery Tenders power cord and disconnect it from the battery beginning with the negative clip first. As far as I know flashing yellow means the tender is plugged into an outlet but not connected to a battery.
Now when I plug the Tender in it blinks the red and green LED alternately red-green-red-green etc. Light is on the battery is greater than 80 charged and may be removed from the charger and used if necessary. The light on the Tender was yellow which according to the info on the unit means the battery was charging.
A Battery Tender is similar to a trickle charger but will not overcharge your battery. I took my wife on a 3 hour ride the other day and the bike performed flawlessly. I connected the tender and it was yellow for about 10 minutes and then turned green showing a full charge.
Once the green light begins to flash it will remain flashing until the battery charger output current drops. Wait no more than 3 seconds for solid red light. When the battery has a full charge a green indicator light will appear on the Battery Tender.
Unfortunately you can drive your brand new Harley off the lot and not get five miles down the road before a warning light comes on. Battery voltage is less than 3 volts.
